ARGAN OIL

A natural derivative of the argan nut, this oil contains a high level of polyphenols, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin E, which gives it a potent antioxidant effect. The addition of argan oil greatly improves the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, and dry, scaly skin.

TITANIUM DIXOIDE

Titanium dioxide is a natural, physical, inorganic mineral that provides broad-spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays. The purpose of large particle titanium is to give opacity to the products containing it, and to lighten (or whiten) their color. Opaque titanium dioxide highly reflects and strongly scatters all UV and visible rays. It also reflects much of the skin-damaging infrared waves, keeping the skin cooler, reducing heat damage and its subsequent photoaging.

ZINC OXIDE

Zinc oxide is a natural, physical, inorganic mineral that provides broad-spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays. Zinc oxide works to both complement titanium dioxide’s protection and extends photoprotection to the skin where titanium dioxide is insufficient. Zinc Oxide has been known and used topically for centuries as a skin protectant and wound healing adjuvant and is a recognized mild antimicrobial agent. It also reflects much of the skin-damaging infrared waves, keeping the skin cooler, reducing heat damage and its subsequent photoaging.

BISABOLOL

Found as a natural component of chamomile, Bisabolol is an effective anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory ingredient, helpful in soothing red, irritated skin.

FERULIC ACID (FERULOYL SOY GLYCERIDES)

This potent antioxidant, found in plants, increases the stability of vitamin C and E as well as adding photo-protection. This ingredient also provides additional protection against thymine dimer formation.

IRON OXIDES

Iron oxides not only add color to the product but also contribute significant protection to the skin from multiple wavelengths of light.

MELANIN

A potent antioxidant with photo-protective properties.

TETRAHEXYLDECYL ASCORBATE / ESTER OF VITAMIN C (VITAMIN C)

An antioxidant and free radical scavenger. Lightens skin by inhibiting melanin synthesis. A necessary co-factor for healthy collagen synthesis; inhibits MMP enzymes. THD Ascorbate is an extremely stable and bio-available form of vitamin C which helps brighten skin and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

TOCOPHERYL ACETATE (VITAMIN E)

One of the most potent antioxidants, particularly good at defending against and disabling free radicals made by the body. This ingredient is essential to tissue repair, works synergistically with vitamin C, and helps fight free radicals and environmental stressors that can lead to premature aging.
